Gear Live has a pretty interesting article on how to use IRC on the new Apple iPhone. The method uses the Mac IRC client Colloquy. There’s a step-by-step guide in the article on how to get it up and running. If you are one of the lucky technogeeks that got an iPhone and can’t live without IRC access be sure and check it out.

Apple recently released a software update for the Apple TV that allows owners to view videos posted on YouTube. If you have an Apple TV, be sure and update your software via the Software Update function in order to take advantage of this new functionality.
Regardless of what some of the critics have said about the Apple TV, I have absolutely enjoyed mine. I’ve encoded most of my movies and TV episodes to H.264 in order to watch them on it, and I am very impressed with the image quality. I would recommend the Apple TV to anyone considering purchasing one.
