Happy 35th Birthday to Me

Yes, today I officially meet the age requirement to be the President of the United States. Personally, I don’t see how someone could be crazy enough to want the job.
It was a pretty uneventful day. Michelle and I went and had a late lunch with my mom and dad at Red Lobster in Odessa. I’m so tired from driving back and forth to Arlington that I really didn’t feel like celebrating with a night on the town. I guess Barnes and Noble will just have to wait until another time.
Which birthday do I get to start counting backwards? Is it 30 or 40?

Hey Joe, hows it going? saw ur blog.. it’s pretty cool!
Not sure if you remember me though? I worked with you on Calculus at ASU …
Where you at these days? I’ve been in Taiwan this year for work-related travel…Working with Texas Instruments.
As much as I would love to take credit for this lovely cake, I have to admit that I don’t recall ever actually baking a cake for Joey’s birthday. He has plenty of Hoffman’s Cake Cottage cakes when we lived in San Angelo, TX, but since then things have been pretty bleak! One day I promise to make the muchly-anticipated Martha Stewart 900 Steps-To-Make Coconut Layer Cake that I promised to bake around 10 years ago. I promise, Sweets, one day you will be surprised!
